External circlip universal joints are a type of U-joint that uses external circlips to secure the bearing caps within the yoke bores. Unlike internal joints,externall circlip U-joints have grooves machined inside the yoke holes, where the circlips are installed to hold the bearing cups in place. Available with thrust washers in some sizes.
